Why do I want to sign up on Schoology? You have access to all class material & information and can you view your child’s work.
What else can I see? You can see any groups they are in and their calendar as well as any assignment that was assigned through Schoology. Here is more information about using this tool to see assignments.
Will my “Parent Access Code” work from last year? Yes, log on and you will be all set up! You do not need to make a new account each year.
Where do I find the “Parent Access Code” for your child? Any of your child’s teachers can look up the code. You should reach out to your child’s teachers. If you do not wish to email a teacher, you can use this form and receive one within 72 hours.
Is the “Parent Access Code” for Schoology the same as the “Access ID” for PowerSchool? No, they are different codes.
How do I sign up? Go to Schoology.com to start, or click the Schoology logo, and follow the prompts. Download the app!
Do I use the Google username & password that my child uses to log in? No, that is their login information. You have a separate account that connects to them. Their Google information will not work if you go to Schoology.com
It says to go to Schoology.com but my child goes to Goochland.Schoology.com – which should I use? Goochland.Schoology.com is for the student & teacher accounts because they have Goochland monitored accounts. Parents use Schoology.com to login.
Can other members of our family use the code? Yes, there is 1 code for each child, and multiple members of your family can use it. If you have multiple children you will need each of their codes.
My child can’t log in to Schoology on their iPad! Be sure they are connected to the internet! They should also choose, “Login through your School” to be directed to Google to type in their Google Username/Password.
