Mission
The mission of Goochland County school counselors is to provide a comprehensive and data-driven program to meet the academic, personal/social and college/career objectives of all students.
The Goochland County School Counseling Program is preventative, sequential and based on student growth and developmental needs. School counselors advocate on behalf of students, acknowledge every student’s individual and cultural uniqueness, and empower all students to be life-long learners and contributing members of society.
In partnership with students, staff, parents, and community members, school counselors facilitate a positive, supportive, and culturally sensitive program that ensures a school community that is a safe, healthy, and nurturing environment for all.
