🚀 Today, our 3rd graders had a special visit from the Frontier Culture Museum! They dove into the fascinating history of the ancient empire of Mali, once a powerful center of trade in West Africa. 🌍✨
Mali became incredibly wealthy by controlling the trade of two priceless resources: salt (essential for preserving food and staying healthy) and gold (used for stunning jewelry and coins). 🧂💰

🌟 Exciting News from Girls on the Run! 🌟
Our amazing girls wrapped up the season by partnering with Goochland Animal Shelter for a heartwarming community impact project! 🐾
💖 They created adoption awareness posters displayed in local businesses and flyers to collect wishlist items for the shelter.
Items Needed: Blankets, Peanut Butter, Dog & Cat Toys, Bleach, Paper Towels, Hand Sanitizer, Hand Soap, Dryer Sheets, Towels, Laundry Detergent, Dog Biscuits, Disinfecting Wipes
📅 We're collecting donations through the end of January.
📍 Drop-off boxes are outside Rooms 117 & 118.
