Christine Fauver is a true community treasure! Not only does she run the Goochland Restaurant and is constantly working to support our community, but she also dedicates countless hours to volunteering at Byrd Elementary.
Christine has spent time reading to our Eagles, teaching them about Veterans Day, and even visited during Folktale Week dressed as the Snow Queen! This year, she’s going above and beyond again by sponsoring a fantastic reading program for Byrd Eagles AND the entire community!
Here’s how it works:

We are so proud of our Seaglebot First Lego League robotics team! They participated in the state championship tournament this weekend at JMU, and earned 2nd place in Core Values!! Way to go team!!
Wednesday night BES students ROCKED at our annual winter program! Our phenomenal new music teachers, Ms. O and Mr. Gittelman worked their magic to make this show possible. We are so lucky to have incredible music programing! We are proud of all of our young artists!
