The school board budget workshop, originally scheduled for tonight, has been rescheduled due to inclement weather. This budget workshop will now be held on February 3rd at 5:30 p.m. at the School Administration Building (2938 River Rd W, Building I). GMS had their Curriculum Night last night! Students and families were able to walk the building, meet teachers, hear about clubs, and even see a wrestling match!

Starting at 4:30 pm, we will have Braise-N-Smoke food truck and the Sippin Sunshine coffee truck here! Don't miss our wrestling match starting at 5:00 in the gym and there is an optional information session for rising 6th graders at 6:00 pm in the auditorium. Please join us to hear about the courses from the teachers themselves!
Ms. Parks' 3D Design class is transforming cardboard and found materials into custom golf course obstacles! ♻️ Students are turning recyclables into everything from animals and castles to flowers, challenging themselves to manipulate unique materials into complex 3D shapes.

Last week, Mr. Tate's robotics class showed off their mini golf obstacles ⛳ that they built with Hummingbird servos and micro:bits and were coded with the Birdblox app. The class had many visitors to 'play through' the course, including other classes from within the school and staff from Central Office!

Yesterday, our 8th graders got to go to GHS and visit their elective fair! This was to learn all about the various elective opportunities there are to experience in high school. At each booth, students could speak to teachers and current students in the class to ask questions and learn what the elective is like before making their requests for their electives for the 26-27 school year.

Today, staff from GMS and GHS came together to learn about SchoolAI and the benefits it can provide to busy teachers, counselors, administrators, and students during our Dot Launch Party! Instructional Tech Coaches Ms. Miller and Ms. Boehm turned PD into a party, complete with balloons and a photo booth! Thanks to all the staff who came out this morning to learn and play 💙❤️✨

This week, we had senior Aurelia come to GMS to teach a photography workshop during Eagle Block for her senior project. Students were able to sign up for the three day workshop and learn the basics about how to best take photos, frame photos, and finally practice taking photos!
