📚 Free Books for Goochland’s Youngest Readers! 📚

Goochland Social Services, in partnership with the Henrico Education Foundation, is excited to bring the Dolly Parton Imagination Library to our community!

Children from birth to age five can receive a free, high-quality book every month — no income requirements, no strings attached.

Our goal: reach 85% of all eligible children in Goochland. Let’s make it happen!

Goochland Middle School is proud to offer many after school athletic opportunities. For the Fall season we have girls volleyball, boys soccer, and girls and boys cross country. Tryouts for Volleyball and Soccer will be held right after school on Tuesday 8/19, Wednesday 8/20, and Thursday 8/21. Cross Country will begin in week 2 of school. All participants must have a valid VHSL physical on file at school. The form can be obtained by going to the athletic page.

Preschool & Kindergarten Orientations – A special time for our youngest learners and their families to meet their teacher and receive important information.

It will include a New 7th and 8th Grade Student Orientation in the LC from 4:30-5:00 pm as well as an optional 6th grade info session at 6:00 pm in the auditorium. Yesterday, the GMS Leadership team got together for our retreat. There was a deep dive into all things 25-26 school year. Going with our Game On theme, we also attended a break out room! All the teams managed to escape their rooms at the Red Door Escape Room in Short Pump!

🎓 Today, we celebrated our amazing fifth graders from Randolph Elementary as they took part in a heartfelt graduation ceremony! These future GMS students are ready for their next adventure, but they'll always carry a piece of Randolph with them. 💚💛 Once a Roadrunner, always a Roadrunner! 💫
